The Road Ahead

The first week of Loomic has been an incredible experience, and I want to start by saying a huge thank you to everyone who has purchased, downloaded, or even just viewed the page. This was a nerve-wracking laucnh and the support has been truly amazing.

It has been especially exciting to see people finding Loomic for use cases I hadn't even anticipated, like world-building and lore management. Thank you for that!

Putting Loomic to the Test

I originally built Loomic for a simple reason: I needed a focused, offline tool to help me plan my own game development projects without the distractions of web-based apps. Now that the dust from the launch has settled, I'm thrilled to be diving back into my own game, using Loomic every single day as my primary planning tool.

For the future of Loomic, it means the app will continue to evolve based on the real-world needs of an active project—my own. As I use it, I'm constantly finding small ways to improve the workflow and add features that provide real value.

Between my own uses and feedback I've received, here is my small roadmap:

  • Bug Fixes: I am unaware of any bugs at the moment aside from a simple visual bug but I will be looking and listening for any feedback.
  • Markdown Support for the Notebook: To allow for more flexible and powerful note-taking.
  • A Basic Automation System: I'll be exploring simple, time-saving automations to streamline common tasks.

Some of the requested features were not even in mind when I began working on Loomic and without some serious restructuring I'm not sure I could even implement it. In the future, after implementing the aforementioned roadmap, I plan on rebuilding Loomic from the ground up so I can integrate even more features and make it better than ever into a 2.0 version.

This is a long-term goal, but it's the direction I'm passionate about. My priorities at the moment are split between the roadmap for Loomic and resuming my game development journey.

Your Feedback is Welcome

Loomic's journey is just beginning, and your feedback is incredibly valuable in helping me prioritize what comes next. Please feel free to share your thoughts, ideas, and bug reports in the comments below.

Thank you again for being a part of this. Now, it's time for me to get back to work—on my game, and on Loomic.
